Visual Vibes: Heartopia’s Frosty Friend

Heartopia’s aesthetic continues to charm, and the introduction of our Penguin pal is no exception. With its tiny crown and endearing waddle, this creature perfectly fits the game’s cozy life-sim vibe, set against the serene, snow-dusted landscapes near the Snow Concert portal. The character design is classic Heartopia — wholesome, inviting, and utterly delightful. Every interaction, from feeding to simply observing, feels like a heartwarming moment straight out of a whimsical winter tale. Prepare for some seriously cute screenshots!

Where To Find The Penguin Trough

Ready to meet your new best friend? The Penguin trough is located just beneath the Old Sea, right before you reach the Snow Concert portal peninsula. As you approach the peninsula, look slightly below the Old Sea area, and you will spot the trough tucked along the path.

It is easy to run past if you are focused on the portal itself, so slow down as you near the entrance to the Snow Concert area. Once you have found it, you can return daily without needing to search again.

Feeding our new frosty friend the right items is absolutely key to strengthening your bond! Its favorite foods are Sardine, Common Shrimp, and False Scad.

  • Sardines can be caught in any sea, even right next to the Penguin trough itself, which makes them the best option if you are short on time.
  • Common Shrimp can be found in the East Sea.
  • False Scad are located in the Zephy Sea.

All three fish can be caught in any weather and at any time of day, so you do not need to wait for specific conditions to stock up. Don’t worry, these penguins will also accept other kinds of fish; these three are just their absolute favorites!

How To Level Up Bond With The Penguin

To level up your bond with this precious Penguin and unlock those sweet rewards, make sure you feed it every single day and interact with it consistently. Each loving interaction helps increase your bond level, which can reach up to level five.
