New Sea Lantern Event Guide for Heartopia: Free Rewards, Crafting, Location & Blessings

I love when Heartopia surprises me with short, sweet events, and the Sea Lanterns of Sentiment is one of the nicest recent additions. It runs for roughly nine days and gives you new decorative lanterns, a craftable lotus lantern you can write a message on, and a chance to receive a temporary Astralis Reunion blessing when you release a lantern into the sea.

Event overview and when it appears

The Sea Lanterns of Sentiment appears after the weekly reset (Saturday). The event lasts about 8 days and 18 hours, so treat it as a limited-time opportunity to grab freebies and decorations for your home in Heartopia.

How to find the Sea Lantern store and event tab

Open the event tab and look for the Sea Lanterns of Sentiment panel. From there you can access the Sea Lantern store where readymade lanterns are available for purchase and a recipe for the Lotus Sea Lantern is unlocked.

Event location: Amethyst Beach

All releasing and viewing happens at Amethyst Beach, down near the bottom left of the map. There are multiple release checkpoints along the shore where lanterns sit before they drift away, and dozens of lanterns can be on the water at once—nighttime looks especially pretty.

Crafing the Lotus Sea Lantern

You can craft the Lotus Sea Lantern from the recipe in the event store. The recipe requires:

  • 20 wishing stars to unlock the recipe (so don’t spend them on other event furniture beforehand)
  • 15 quality timber
  • 15 timber
  • 1 flawless fluorite

The crafted lotus lantern lets you write a blessing message (30 character limit) before releasing it into the sea.

Releasing lanterns and the Astralis Reunion blessing

When you release a lantern at a beach checkpoint it will float near shore for a while, then drift away. Releasing a lotus lantern that you crafted allows you to attach a short message for other players to read. The game tracks the last ten drifted lanterns and shows up to three messages per displayed lantern.

There is a chance to receive the temporary Astralis Reunion response buff when a lantern is released. Observations so far:

  • The buff I received was labeled “Blessed by the Astralis Reunion blessing” and lasted about 10 minutes.
  • It displays a visual effect around the character, but I could not see any clear energy or harvest rate increase while testing.
  • The effect’s exact gameplay benefit is unclear at launch; official details may be added later.

Fuel boosts and community interaction

Players can use fuel boosts on a lantern in water to extend how long it remains on the shore. You cannot fuel boost the same lantern more than once from the same account, but multiple players can add boosts to a lantern to lengthen its display time for everyone to admire and interact with.

Decorating with Sea Lanterns at home

Readymade lanterns from the store are perfect for home decoration. They provide a subtle glow, come in different designs (lotus, koi, peaches, golden, etc.), and can be placed on tables or windowsills in your home plot.

Practical tips and checklist

  • Save wishing stars before reset so you can unlock the Lotus Sea Lantern recipe.
  • Stockpile gold if you want to buy multiple readymade lanterns for display; a single readymade lantern costs around 2,000 gold.
  • Buy at least one of each design to complete your collection and to have extras for decorating.
  • Craft one lotus lantern to use the 30-character message feature—those personal touches are the nicest part.
  • Use fuel boosts selectively to extend lanterns you find on the shore; boosting community lanterns helps everyone.
  • Track released lanterns from the event menu to see how long they remain and to view recent drifted lanterns.

Is it worth it?

If you enjoy decorating and community features, this Heartopia event is a solid add. The lanterns are visually appealing and the messaging mechanic creates small social moments. If you chase the blessing for gameplay benefit, wait for clearer confirmation on what the Astralis Reunion blessing actually does before spending large sums of gold chasing buffs.

Quick recap

  1. Event appears at weekly reset and runs for about nine days.
  2. Open the event tab, buy or craft lanterns in the Sea Lantern store.
  3. Crafted lotus lanterns let you write short messages and can trigger a temporary Astralis blessing when released.
  4. Amethyst Beach is the release and viewing location.
  5. Save wishing stars and gold ahead of reset if you want full participation.

Enjoy decorating, leaving thoughtful messages, and exploring the seaside in Heartopia. The event is compact, charming, and worth checking out while it’s live.
