What’s the best way to approach rare or timid birds without scaring them away?

Patience and stealth are your best allies!

Use Cover: Utilize trees, rocks, buildings, or tall grass to hide your approach.
Slow Movements: Avoid running or sudden movements. Walk slowly towards your target.
Distance is Key: As your Birding Level increases, your camera’s zoom improves. Don’t feel you need to be right next to the bird. Find a good vantage point and zoom in.
Environmental Awareness: Some birds are skittish if you approach from above, while others are fine. Observe their behavior before making your move.
The Reset Trick: If a bird flies off, remember to walk out of render distance or perform a quick zone transition to potentially reset its spawn and try again.
